Updato!

Okay, so Sasha is on spring break!!!! Whoooohooooo!!!!  This essentially means that I'm living at the rink.

I've been doing about 2 and a half hours a day, which is 2.5 times more than I normally do.  I was wiped out yesterday ahhhhh.  But anyway, update?  UPDATES

Jumps

  • Waltz: perfect; fine; good spring
  • Salchow: much better; actually checking after the 3 turn
  • Toe loop: I'M STILL NOT SWINGING THROUGH UGHHHHHH; I get good height, but my technique is off.
  • Loop: perfect; pretty consistent
  • Flip: inconsistent; blahhhh
  • Lutz: hahaha, no; I freak out with the counter rotation, but I'll get over it.
  • Combos: lookin gooooood
Spins
  • Scratch: kinda travelly sometimes, but it's good
  • Back scratch: okay? it's getting better
  • Sit: so close!  I almost have it all the way down to where it needs to be
  • Camel: I keep dropping my free side but I'm averaging 5 revs
  • Layback: need to work on going straight back and use my back flexibility
  • Biellmann: SO CLOSEEEEE
  • Haircutter: terrifying, but it's on its way
  • Pancake: lose lowness, but I can do a good position while not spinning
  • Tuck behind: good!
  • Change foot: good!!
Dance
  • Dutch waltz: good, when it is
  • Canasta tango: good
  • Rhythm Blues: okay...kinda good
  • Backwards dance skating: pretty good for working on it for 2 days!

Sleeeeepy Sasha

I am so tired omggggg
but
it's spring break
and I'm getting frozen yogurt for dinner!!!!

Yeah, I spent my first day of spring break skating.  10-11 and then 3-4.  Then I learned how to do ice dance backwards.  IT'S HARD.  But you can cheat on pushes on progressives.  Like push-stretch, stretch, push-stretch.  NO 2ND PUSH HAHAHAAHAHAHHA.

Oh yeah, so this was my morning session:
-Warm up!
-Waltz jump circle
-Single jumps! (except lutz)
-Combos! (except with flip and lutz)
^all decent
-Spins...uh no.

Then afternoon:
-ICE DANCE FOR A HALF HOUR, MUST MAKE THIS GOOD BEFORE COACH GETS HERE
-Do dances for coach
-Get corrected on things by said coach
-Learn back progressives, back chasses, back swing rolls
-Omg it's 4 already? O.o

And now I need to do core work.  I want abs man!!!  Meh, I'll stretch tomorrow.  I did some today.

And I get to skate alllll day Monday and Wednesday.

Ice dance is actually kinda fun now.  Better than moves in the field. x.x

Okay, videos next time.....maybe

IJS can kiss my.........

My coach decided that I should start training more for IJS.  OMG PAINNNNNN IN ZE BUTT
I have to hold my spirals for really fuckin' long now ahhhhh.  Ok, so variations are fun but then there's also GOE shizz.  I hate GOE!!!!  Okay the creativity and originality part is fun but ahhh and that's only for spins!!!  Let it be known that I'm not a jumper. TT~TT  (But yeah, I did start my last single today but ahhhhhh)  Oh and this:

For spins there are 4 levels of difficulty. The level of difficulty is dependant on the number of features.
You need to perform two features for level 2, three for level 3, and four for level 4.
1.A difficult variation in a basic or (for spin combinations only) in an intermediate position
2.Another difficult variation in a basic position which must be:
● spins in one position and flying spins – different than the first one
● all other spins – on different foot and/or in different position than the first one
3.Difficult change of foot
4.Backward entrance/Difficult variation of flying entrance/Landing on the same foot as take off or changing foot on landing in a Flying Sit Spin
5.Both edges in one basic position (in any spin both edges count only once)
6.All 3 basic positions (for spins with change of foot – on each foot)
7.Both directions immediately following each other.
8.At least 8 rev. without changes in pos./variation, foot or edge (camel, sit, layback, difficult upright), counts twice if repeated on another foot
Additional features for the Layback spin
9.One change of position backwards-sideways or reverse, at least 3 rev. in each position
10.Biellmann position after layback spin (SP – after 8 revolutions in layback spin)

"When performing a spin in competition you can improve you score by achieving a higher grade of execution GOE. You can receive +1, +2, or +3 based on the number of bullets you achieve below.

1.Good control throughout (entry, rotation, change of foot, conclusion/exit)
2.Good speed or acceleration during spin
3.Balanced rotations (on different feet / in different positions or variations)
4.Clearly more than required number of revolutions
5.Superior position(s) (including air position in flying spins)
6.Creativity and originality"

Pissed Off Rant

When I ask you a question, I'm asking because I think you might, on the off chance, know.  You do not need to talk to me like I'm a moron.  You keep doing that and I am fucking sick of it.

I didn't go to MSA, so what?

I'm a girl, so what?

I'm blonde, so what?

I'm not "hot", so what?

I'm in a lower math than you because I chose to be, so fucking what?

You wonder why everyone hates you and it's because you think it's okay to fucking talk down to people if they don't fit your sexist, racist, elitist version of "smart".  You know what, AR?  I'm fucking done.

I do not work my ass off in school for this.  I do not stick with full IB for this.  I do not work my ass off outside of school for this.  And you di not deserve all the frustration and anger I skated out today.

I am fucking done, AR, done.  You do it again, you will face the wrath of Sasha Elizabeth Colbert!!!!

Note: Not my real name
